In an effort to alleviate the isolation and loneliness that many seniors experienced during the coronavirus pandemic, the Penn State Berks community came together for a new initiative – Operation Smilegram.
Students from Penn State Berks and Albright College have partnered with some of the dancers who performed in “This Is Reading,” a performance art installation unveiled in 2017, to publish a book titled “We Are Reading: Dancing in the City.”
In September 2018, two professors from Penn State Berks — Belen Rodriguez-Mourelo and Donna Chambers — traveled nearly 4,500 miles to share their expertise on service learning with faculty at the University of Split in Croatia.
Penn State Berks is partnering with Lauer?s Park Elementary School for two programs: Bilingual students will visit Lauer’s Park to present a reading of "Huevos Verdes con Jamon" (Green Eggs and Ham) at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, along with other activities.
