Author Adam Benforado to discuss issues in criminal justice system

READING, Pa. — Adam Benforado, author of "Unfair: The New Science of Criminal Injustice,"?will visit Penn State Berks and give a presentation on issues in the criminal justice system from noon to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in Room 150, Franco Building. The event is free and open to the general public.

“The evidence is all around us: Our system of justice is fundamentally broken. But it’s not for the reasons we tend to think,” said Adam Benforado, associate law professor at Drexel University. “Even if the system operated exactly as it was designed to, we would still end up with wrongful convictions, trampled rights, and unequal treatment. This is because the roots of injustice lie within the minds of each and every one of us.”
