Students to prepare and serve dinner at Opportunity House

READING, Pa. — Penn State Berks students will prepare and serve dinner to the clients of Opportunity House, the Reading emergency shelter, on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 4:45–8 p.m. Students volunteer regularly at Opportunity House as part of the college’s commitment to community service.

Opportunity House has been helping the homeless population of Reading since?November 1984?and has expanded to include an emergency?shelter, a?24/7 childcare and learning center, services from the?Children's Alliance Center, assistance for?veterans, and?reuse and recycle services?that reinvest funds back into the agency in order to further support their mission and services.
