Author Nikhil Goyal discusses transforming education on Sept. 21

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nikhil Goyal sheds light on the most extraordinary models of learning around the nation in his lecture titled "Transforming Education," which will take place at 7:30 p.m.?on Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium at Penn State Berks. Goyal will discuss his philosophies on the American education system by presenting case studies and research that suggest schools are exhausting children’s creativity, curiosity and love of learning. This event is free and open to the public.

Goyal, who authored "Schools on Trial: How Freedom and Creativity Can Fix Our Educational Malpractice" at the age of 20, has numerous outstanding accomplishments, including: appearing on MSNBC and FOX; writing for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other publications; and receiving the 2013 Freedom Flame Award. He has had speaking engagements with the Clinton Global Initiative University, Google, University of Cambridge, and the LEGO Foundation.
