Jeff Griffin, author of "I’Mpossible: Desire, Dream, Do," will share his inspiring story of overcoming adversity with the Penn State Berks community at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium.
WYOMISSING, Pa. — Believing that everyone has the power and potential to accomplish the impossible, Jeff Griffin, author of "I’Mpossible: Desire, Dream, Do," will share his inspiring story of overcoming adversity with the Penn State Berks community at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Griffin dreamed of playing college football until an accident left him paralyzed from the waist down. Determined not to let his paralysis define him, Griffin went on to accomplish some extraordinary feats. From playing in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece, and becoming a silver medalist for the U.S. men’s wheelchair basketball team, to playing for the Utah Wheelin’ Jazz and becoming a four-time all-star MVP, Griffin is a national champion on and off the court. He was the No. 1 men’s wheelchair tennis player in the state of Utah, won the St. George Marathon, and holds two Guinness Book of World Records.
