Berks conference strives to attract local 11th graders to STEM fields

Penn State Berks will host its annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Conference on?Wednesday, March 7.?Approximately?90, 11th-grade students are expected to attend the conference, which will feature instructors and students from Penn State Berks and the local community who will provide workshops with the goal of encouraging the high school students to continue their studies in science, math, engineering, and technology.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Bob Forrey, distinguished professor of physics at Penn State Berks.?The conference will include interactive workshops that will enlighten students on the possibilities for future studies and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
