UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has determined that it is in the best interests of student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans to cancel all fall sports competition.?Abington, Berks and Harrisburg belong to the NEAC.?
The University has established a Commonwealth Campus Athletics Safety Subcommittee that continues to monitor University, national organization, state and local guidelines relative to resocialization of sports on our campuses. ?Decisions specific to competition are driven by campus’ respective conferences.
The conference will continue to explore opportunities for campuses to engage student-athletes through the Fall semester and a decision on winter and spring sports competition will be made at a later date.? ?
